Celebrated my sisters 24th birthday and it was amazing!!
We wet our palettes with a glass of Gossett Champagne!
Let's start with the appetizers!
I ordered the Creole Caesar Salad- little gem lettuce, Leidenheimer crisps, smoked oyster dressing! The best Caesar I've ever had! My mom and sister order for Collard green and Shelling bean salad. They both loved it.
Next the Chef sent us house-made ricotta cheese with macerated berries! Sounds really fancy huh? It was so yummy!!
Midcourse was a BBQ shrimp quenelle & seared scallops! Literally heaven on a small plate!!
Main course we ordered: Gulf fish Amandine, Blackened reddish & Grilled Prime Ribeye. My sister eats steak ANY where we go, it's sad LOL
Everything was cooked to perfection! The waitstaff is nothing short of amazing! They keep your table clean and your glass full!
Check out my pics! -

Basically Wonderful..... and remains one of my top spots for breakfast. Maybe it's just the milk punch and the kick it gives me in the morning, but more likely the it's the flawless benedicts dishes they serve and the fun atmosphere at the bar.
For more, please see my original post. But in short, GO... even if you just pop in and get yourself a morning drink from the bar to hit the street. -

We got here late Sunday night about 20 minutes before closing just to get the banana fosters and they were able to seat us which was great.
Quick note, the banana fosters is $10/person. Their online menu doesn't make that clear and makes it seem like it's just $10 total. So be aware!
Lol, I wanted to deduct a star for that pricing thing, but oh my, the dessert was so amazing that I wouldn't dare do it, lol. Watching them cook it right in front of you is awesome. And the freshness and increíble texture and flavors are worth stopping in just to try it if you come to town! -

Breakfast @ Brennan's is just a classic tradition in New Orleans!
TURTLE SOUP - A New Orlean's Classic soup made with ground turkey and topped with Aged Sherry. This was light yet hearty soup, sort of similar to chili with rich veal stock. Do not let the name scare you away! A must try in New Orleans!
EGGS HUSSARDE - A Brennan's classic version of Eggs Benedict made of coffee-cured Canadian bacon topped the best hollandaise sauce I have ever had and marchand de vin sauce, which is a red wine demi-glaze. Absolute must try!
EGGS OWEN - A very underrated breakfast dish with red wine braised short rib debris with poached eggs sitting on top of hollandaise and marchand de vin sauce. This is a very hearty and absolutely delicious entree, that will definitely set you up for the day around NOLA. When the waiter was describing it, my mouth was already watering and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend!
BANANAS FOSTER - You cannot go to Brennan's and not try the world-famous bananas foster from the original creator. They make the bananas foster table-side and give a wonderful story of how the owner came up with the dessert. This was not overly sweet and the perfect way to end an amazing meal. Definitely a highlight of our trip! Be sure to have your cameras ready!
JUICE OF THE DAY (Strawberry, rhubarb, and cranberry) - Not overly sweet with just a bit of tartness. Very refreshing and great start to a morning.
Shoutout to our waiter, Alfredo! He was super welcoming and attentive. He was exceptional at describing the dishes on the menu and made great recommendations. Not only that, he was so nice to tell us the exact moment he would pour the alcohol for the Bananas Foster so we could capture the moment. Phenomenal service!
A little tip, making reservations to dine in the main dining room, which a gorgeous green room with whimsical murals, pink chairs, and lots of natural light. There is also an outdoor garden you can sit if it is not too humid.
All in all, I cannot wait to return to Brennans! A must-try in New Orleans! -

Amazing food and amazing service.
This place is absolutely perfect for brunch. The interior is very cute, a little fancy- so I'd recommend wearing something a bit more formal to fit the atmosphere. Although there isn't a dress code.
Definitely Try: the Eggs Hussarde for brunch! Highly recommended by the server, and with good reason!
